History

Brent Bourgeois began his music career with High School friend Larry Tagg. They joined forces to form Bourgeois Tagg, the band also included drummer Rick Walter and guitarist Lyle Workman.

Bourgeois Tagg released Self-titled: Bourgeois Tagg in 1986 and Yoyo in 1987.

Bourgeois' recovery from alcohol addiction and burgeoning Christian faith caused friction between the band members and lead to the split of Bourgeois Tagg.

Brent then signed with Charisma Records and released two secular albums; self-titled: Brent Bourgeois in 1990 and A Matter of Feel in 1992.

In 1995, Brent finally put his faith front and center in his music signing with Reunion Records and releasing Come Join the Living World. The album was produced by long-time friend and reportedly former drinking buddy Charlie Peacock.

Brent continued in the Christian music industry writing and producing for a host of artists such as Michael W. Smith, Jars of Clay, 4Him, Jaci Velasquez, Michelle Tumes, and Cindy Morgan.

According to Brent's website, he has retired from the music business and begun writing books. His musical involvement appears to be limited, as he says, "I lead worship at the 11:00 service at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Sacramento."
